Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply when you use the Hinesville Concrete website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for work at your property. When you use the site or accept an estimate, you're agreeing to these terms, so please read them before you do.

If your signed estimate or written agreement says something different from this page, the written agreement for your job controls that point.

What we do

Hinesville Concrete is a concrete contractor in Hinesville, GA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, slabs, footings, foundations and retaining walls, and we also do stamped and decorative concrete, foundation raising and concrete cutting. You can see the full list of services on our home page.

The information on this website is general. It describes how concrete work usually goes, and it isn't a quote or a promise about your project. What we'll do at your house is what your written estimate or agreement says.

Estimates and pricing

Estimates are free, and there's no obligation to hire us. We base each estimate on what we can see on site and on what you tell us you want, including the size of the area, the thickness of the slab, the finish, the reinforcement and the access for our crew and equipment.

Some conditions only show up once the old concrete is out and the ground is dug, such as soft or wet soil under the slab, buried debris, large roots or water that drains toward the house. If we find something like that, we'll stop and explain it to you before doing extra work, and any change to the price or the scope will be agreed with you in writing.

An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, material costs or our schedule may have changed, so we may need to update it.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date when you accept the estimate. Concrete depends on the weather, so rain, extreme heat, cold or wet ground can push the pour to another day, because pouring in bad conditions makes for a weaker slab. We'll let you know as soon as we see a delay coming and set a new date with you.

New concrete needs time to cure, which means it has to sit and harden before it can carry weight. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then is your responsibility.

If you need to cancel or move your job, call us as early as you can. Any deposit, and any cost for materials already ordered or work already done, is handled as your written agreement says.

Payment terms

The amount you owe, any deposit and when each payment is due are set out in your written estimate or agreement. Final payment is due when the work described in the agreement is finished, unless the agreement says otherwise.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's paid, and we may use the remedies Georgia law allows a contractor to collect what's owed for work on a property.

Your part of the job

We need clear access to the work area on the scheduled day, a place to park our trucks and a way to reach the area with equipment. Please tell us about anything buried in the work area that we can't see, such as sprinkler lines, septic parts, drain pipes or private utility lines.

You're responsible for knowing your property lines and for any approval your homeowners association requires. Who handles any permit for the job is set out in your written agreement.

Cracks, settling and what our guarantee covers

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, and any warranty for your job is the one written in your agreement. If something isn't right with our workmanship, call us and we'll come look at it.

Concrete can crack even when it's built well. We cut control joints, which are grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, but small hairline cracks, slight color differences and minor surface changes are normal and aren't defects.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, including ground movement or settling of soil we didn't prepare, tree roots, flooding, de-icing salts, loads heavier than the slab was built for, driving or walking on it before it has cured, or changes and repairs made by someone else.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Georgia law allows, our total liability for any claim about our work is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway, lost income or damage caused by delays we couldn't control.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have that Georgia law doesn't allow a business to limit.

Using this website

You may use this website to learn about our services and to contact us. Please don't copy the site's text or photos for commercial use, try to interfere with how the site works or send us false information through the contact form.

We try to keep the site accurate, but it may contain mistakes or out-of-date information, and it's provided as it is. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for their content.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with something, call us first, because most problems get sorted out quickly once we're standing at the slab together. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before either of us goes to court.

If a dispute still isn't resolved, it will be heard in the state courts serving Liberty County, Georgia, unless the law requires a different court.

Governing law

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. A change won't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us unless we both agree to it in writing.
